The Alamo Industrial® A 72 heavy-duty rotary mowers are just right for cutting grass, weeds, and brush up to 3" in diameter. These units will cut a wide swath of 60" and 72" respectively, at a rate of 2-1/2-acres per hour at 4-miles per hour ground speed. The free-swinging, updraft blades produce a smooth cut and distribute the cut material evenly across the width of the mower. For adjusting height of cut, this rugged mowing unit has a full-swiveling, puncture-proof, laminated tailwheel. The cutting height may be adjusted from a minimum of 1-9/16" through 12".
The Cat 4 (35) driveline has a slip clutch and safety shield. The sturdy gearbox has a 90 horsepower rating. The tailwheel, mounted on a 360o swiveling caster, is laminated and puncture proof. Both units have two skid shoes that are adjustable and replaceable. The cutting height may be adjusted from 1-9/16" to 12". The mowers come with debris deflectors as standard equipment. Double chain guards are optional.
The A 60 and A 72 may be mounted to tractors with a minimum of 30 and 40 PTO horsepower respectively, with a PTO of 540 or 1000 RPM. These units are available with a floating CAT I three-point hitch for the A 60 and CAT II three-point hitch for the A 72.
